Our wealth of experience was accumulated through our involvement in and management of the following projects:
Project Management
- PGWC, Transport and Public Works: Project managed support programmes and communications for the Masakh’ iSizwe Centre of Excellence at the Department of Transport & Public Works (2006 – 2008).
- PGWC, Transport and Public Works: Communications and stakeholder liaison in the formulation of a public/private partnership with Department of Transport and Public Works, state owned enterprises and private sector (2006 – 2008).
- MENNGOS/MAIN Micro Finance Institute: Project Managed the Conference on Fraud Vulnerability and Internal Controls (2001).
- City of Cape Town, Small Business Week, Co-ordinated and assisted with the project management of Small Business Week, an initiative of the City of Cape Town (2001 & 2002).
- Project management and co-ordination of the regional Protex Promotion in the Western Cape (1999).
Company launches
- DPI Phumela Trading (Pty) Ltd – Launch of a black empowerment company in the construction and engineering industry (2003).
- Jonga Entabeni (Pty) Ltd, launch of BEE property development company established to project manage the Big Bay Development on West Coast (2005).
- PGWC, Environmental Affairs & Tourism: Event managed the Launch of the Maritime Week, October 2005, Launch of the 4X4 Regulation, December 2004 and the Staff Imbizo, September 2005.
- Xhantilomzi Fishing (Pty) Ltd: Event managed the launch of the company and renaming of their fishing vessel, CODESA 1 (2001).
- Umoya Fishing: Launch of the BEE fishing company, Umoya Fishing (Pty) Ltd and Umoya Fish Processors (Pty) Ltd on the West Coast in St Helena Bay (2000).
Research
- 2010 FIFA World Cup, Ehlanzeni District Municipality: Situational analysis including review of preparations to date in terms of sports development, event alignment and role of FIFA sponsors in Mpumalanga (2009).
- 2010 FIFA World Cup, PGWC: Transport and Public Works: Feasibility of Provincial Public Viewing Areas (PVAs) for 2010 FIFA World Cup and impact of transport mobility on those areas (2008).
- 2010 FIFA World Cup, PGWC: Transport and Public Works and Arts and Culture, Public Viewing Areas (PVAs) conceptual plan, including detailed development of event plan combing all elements of event management including sponsorship funding models. Design of rotational programme and development programme for emerging entertainers for the PVAs. Research into various other district events and stakeholder liaison to alignment to 2010 events (2008).
- Research and development of an Arts Directory for Ikapa Arts Trust.
- Assisted Deft and Arcus Gibb with a research project for Local Government on their tendering procedures and systems.
Festivals
- Cape Women of the World (WOW) Trust: Project managed the Cape Women of the World (WOW) Festival, showcasing the achievements of women in the Western Cape through a women’s conference, festival day with 87 stall holders, entertainment programme, art exhibition by women artists, book club corner, kid’s programme and women’s DJ night (2002).
- Ikapa Arts Festival: Project managed the Athlone and Cape Town region and community events in Kew Town, Hanover Park, Bonteheuwel and Manenberg (1996 – 97).
- Assisted with the co-ordination and implementation of the public relations campaign for the Very Special Arts Festival SA in 1996.
Banquets/ Event Management
- PGWC: Premier Office 2010 Co-ordination: Logistical arrangement for the final draw announcement VIP Lounge, Long Street, Cape Town (2009).
- Ministerial Banquets and other relevant events at the Department of Transport and Public Works (2006 – 2007).
- The management and co-ordination of a series of fundraising Gala Dinners and Breakfasts for the ANC with National Ministers; Minister Trevor Manuel, Minister Vallie Moosa and Minister Stella Sigcua, amongst others and former President Nelson Mandela (1999 –2000).
- Ministry of Social Services & Poverty Alleviation Budget Speech Dinner (2003).
- Fundraising Banquet for the ANC Youth League with the Minister of Mineral & Energy, Minister Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka’s (2002).
Communications
- Develop branding and communication strategy for FAB Fish, a fish and related products marketing company, exporting fresh fish to European Union affiliated companies (August 2009 to present).
- Smart + Strong Infected & Affected HIV/AIDs Anti-Stigma Campaign: for a New York based publisher to set up photographic shoots and videography at the 5th International Aids Society Conference (July 2009). The project included the co-ordination of local media and celebrities to participate in the anti-stigma campaign at the CTICC.
- Develop and compile bid documentation for Bravomode (Pty) Ltd for the BEE application for shareholding with Adcock Ingram’s (Pty) Ltd call for request to BBBEE parties.
- Developed and produced the Western Cape Guide to BBBEE Opportunities booklet for Department of Economic Development and Tourism (2009).
- Branding and communications for Umoya Fishing (Pty) Ltd, a BEE fishing company situated on the West Coast (2001 – 2005)
